Optishot Courses – The Ultimate Players Guide

When I first got my Optishot, I had a hard time deciding on which course I should play. With 15 Optishot courses to choose from the options can be overwhelming. You don’t want to spend time on a course that is too hard or too easy and you may even want to get an advantage on your buddies. So that is why I put together this Optishot courses guide. This guide will give you the inside scoop on the best of the Optishot courses included with the game (I have not attempted to study the platinum courses). In this guide you will find the real course equivalent, the course length, a preview of the toughest hole and more.

Now called Scottsdale National Golf Club, is owned by GoDaddy founder Bob Parsons and is one of the most exclusive courses in the world. With no houses in site and set in the Arizona desert, this  is one of the Optishot courses that will really test your game.

Toughest Hole #14 – Par 5 638 Yards

Other Favorite Hole #6

Long par 3 with a small green to shoot at, most of my misses hit the many bunkers surrounding it.

Course #2 – Cogs Corner Course (Real Name)ParTotal Yards - Back - Middle Tees Total Yards - Front - Par 3 TeesLongest Hole - Back - Middle Tees Hardest Hole Coggs Hill727450 Yards 6585 Yards 5264 Yards 2297 Yards609 Yards 565 Yards #9

Owned by Joe Jemsek, Cogs Hill golf course is located in Lemont Illinois. This course is ranked in the Top 100 in the U.S. by Golf Magazine. It has been the site of many PGA tour events. The course is loaded with sand traps and has trees lining most fairways. More on its history.

Toughest Hole #9 – Par 5 609 Yards

Other Favorite Hole #7

This hole is a little dogleg right with a tight landing spot off the tee as water and bunkers come into play. Shoot up to an elevated green surrounded by sand.

Course #3 – Torrey White Course (Real Name)ParTotal Yards - Back - Middle Tees Total Yards - Front - Par 3 TeesLongest Hole - Back - Middle Tees Hardest Hole Torrey Pines - North726755 Yards 6278 Yards 5769 Yards 1192 Yards550 Yards 501 Yards #4

The North course is known for its great views and is one of my favorite Optishot courses to play. Located in Southern California, it is not as tough as the South course but will sure to please. Its signature and toughest hole is the 6th. It is also host to the Farmers Insurance Invitational.

Toughest Hole #4 – Par 4 396 Yards

This signature hole is set against an ocean background and has bunkers that will test your drive and approach.

Who wouldn’t want to play golf in Hawaii? This course was designed by the great Ben Crenshaw and features the rolling hills of state. It is quite lengthy and boast a par of 73. This is one of the only Optishot courses I have been able to play in real life (I shot 100).

Toughest Hole #4 – Par 4 374 Yards

Don’t need to say much about why I like this hole. It is a monster. I don’t think I will ever play a longer hole.
